 Hello, my name is Mrs. Paula Mortenson.(easiest way to contact me) 507-582-3568 ext. 4385 I'm happily married for 31 years to Kevin and we have two married children that have both graduated from Southland High School and college, and have been blessed with 2 grandchildren and another on the way. This is my 20th year teaching at Southland. Some of my hobbies are golf, reading, DIY Projects, cross country skiing, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends. In addition to teaching HS Science classes, I also enjoy coaching our MS/HS Vex Robotics Teams. Education: 1993 from Bemidji State University BS of Chemistry, Biology Minor 2004 from Bemidji State University, Secondary Licensure Completed in Chemistry and an additional Physics Cognate (graduate level) 2007 from Saint Mary's University, MA of Education Licenses held: Chemistry (9-12), Physics (9-12), and General Science (5-8) Classes Taught Senior Seminar (Capstone class required for Southland Graduation) 9th grade Physical Science (Intro to Chemistry/Physics) Chemistry (College Prep) prerequisite of Alg II completion or consent of teacher CES Physics (concurrent with Riverland Community College) prerequisite of Pre-Calculus completion or consent of teacher Physical Science
