Welcome
Spanish Class: Nikki Phillips

This is my first year teaching Spanish at Southland. Right out of College I taught Spanish for seven years. Then I took a break to raise my family. After 13 years of staying home with my four boys, I am thrilled to be back in a classroom setting! After graduating from Bethel College, I taught high-school, middle school and elementary Spanish in Alden-Conger for seven years.  With the arrival of my second son, I decided to lay aside my career and stay home with my four boys.  My husband, Clint, is also a teacher here at Southland. Now that my kiddos are older, I am excited to pick up my career where it left off.   I also enjoy singing, playing the piano, teaching my piano students, learning to play violin, gardening, being involved in local community theatre, coaching robotics and teaching Sunday School and Youth Group at church.
