College Composition I & II are concurrent courses. Students have the opportunity earn high school Language Arts credit from Southland High School as well as college credit through Riverland Community College. Students attend class at Southland High School and follow the Southland Schools calendar. 

Are you eligible? 

• cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

• MCA Reading score - 1047 or higher, or
• ACT Reading score - 21 or higher, or 
• Accuplacer Reading Score Classic 78
• Accuplacer Reading Score Next Gen 250

• Step 1: Your Star ID 
• Step 2: Apply to Riverland
• Step 3: Register for the course

• On the Riverland home page, on the My Riverland tab, click on Brightspace.
• Login with your star ID to access course information and materials. 
• All of the materials for this course will be posted on Brightspace.
